Funny Story!

Postby copkid » Sat May 12, 2007 9:20 am

The other day I went to toss some shirts in the dryer to iron them.
I opened the dryer door to see what was in there and then went to get my other shirts. I tossed them in, shut the door, and turned on the dryer. As I'm walking away, I hear a THUMP, THUMP, THUMP, and I think what in the world did the kids toss in that dryer? As I walk back to the dryer, it shut off automatically. I open the door to the dryer and out shoots one of my stupid cats! He went for a ride in the dryer!  He shot out of there, but then just stuck his head up in the air and walked off nonchalantly like he meant to do it the whole time!
It is never boring around here.................

That's good :D Ours has never got in the dryer.
Ours has figured out how to open the bottom cabinet doors and sometimes when you open the door she will shoot out or meow at you real loud  I swear it will startle you

My Mother once dried her favorite Siamese cat that way. Her dryer was in a separate building, so she slammed the dryer door and walked back in the house. The dryer didn't stop until the time was up. She didn't discover it until she went out later in the day to get the clother!
What a horrible way to go!

Thankfully our dryer has an automatic shutoff that detects when something is in there that isn't supposed to be! Although I heard the thumps and knew something was up! Your poor mom!!! What a sight, not to mention smell to come back too!

What is it with cats and dryers? When I was a little kid, we lost a cat to a dryer....but not in the tub. The back was exposed at the bottom, and "Chris" decided to hang out in there one day. Mom loaded it, turned in on and ... ummmm. Yeah.
