Recipe Resizer

Postby Burnt Food Dude » Tue May 22, 2007 8:49 pm

Have a recipe that needs to be resized. Does it feed 4 and you need to feed 15?

Do it here => http://www.webstaurantstore.com/recipe_resizer.html

It can also be used in reverse. If you have a recipe that feeds 50 it can reduce it.

Does it scale it? I once tried to make a large batch of marina sauce from a standard recipe. Quadrupled everything. Tasted like crap. Found out later that I needed to "scale" it, as maybe only double the spices.... . :?: :oops:

No, it doesn't seem to scale the recipe, it just multiplies it out. Which, like you said Dats can throw off the recipe.

I know for my rub and my sauce I cannot just multiply it out. It is ok if I just double the recipe but if I want to go bigger than that I have to start adjusting ingredients.
