LOVE the Furi knives! I really like the handles as well. They fit my smaller hand alot better than most knives I've handled.
As far as hubby is concerned about his gifts, he doesn't even know where to begin in a kitchen and doesn't care! We had some extra money yesterday and two kids at camp, so we went kinda crazy! He and the kids are getting a WI, or WUI, however the heck you spell it, so they are happy! As far as they are concerned, the better tools Mama has in the kitchen, they eat that much better!
I also got a new supply of silicone basting brushes, and some killer heavy duty grill grate brushes! I'm so tired of cheap grill brushes!!

Well, if mama ain't happy.......................................! 8)
Actually, I don't ever ask for anything. I'm not into clothes or shoes, manicures, etc. I'm pretty simple, and it's been 15 or more years since we've really updated some of the things in the kitchen, and it's where I'm at 80% of the time.
I can't tell you how many new DVD players, and other electronic gadgets my husband buys, so I don't feel guilty!

Laura,
Sounds like you & your husband enjoying yourselves.I had a good set of knives.Somehow, when I moved back home,a couple have found a new home. What I really need to learn,is how to chop & slice like a pro.I'm knife challenged,LOL

Sounds nice Laura!!!

Those new knives that we bought recently, my son has broken the tip off of one and bent the tip on another. And he was already told DO NO TOUCH THE KNIVES!!!

Hope that yours last longer.

Now, with you at the grill all of the time and Eric playin on the Wii, will you ever see each other again???

Ahhh man I feel your pain. I got a 16 yr old grandson who thunk he might want to grow up to be a Chef one day. Looked over one day whilst trying to learn him a few thangs from my el limited reprotra and he was trying to pry a bone outta something with one of my grand prize winning Forschners . I say whoa boy..you need to be a nurse. Thats is when he switched career fields. I also tole him about the Chefs who stand up and cook 8 to 12 hrs. whilst slaving over a hot stove the entire time. Think he has now decided he rather be an RN sitting on his coola and barking orders out to cute young candy stripers to empty the bed pans etc. That makes much mo sense to me too.

Hmmmm.....I think that boy needs to come spend a week with Auntie Laura.... I can lock him in a room with my four year old daughter and make him watch Dora the Explorer for 24 hrs straight. not to mention my daughter talking non-stop! He don't touch no knives again!
