Church retreat.

This weekend is a Father-Child retreat in Oklahoma, so I'm takin' my son (7) for a little bonding time. The other 2 are just too young, yet.

Called in sick this morning, so my week-end started off nicely....Cooking butts as I write, catering a wedding tomorrow and runnin the pit Sunday. Bought a 5 x 10 enclosed trailor a couple weeks ago and pretty much have it outfitted for catering.....got one of two Carlisle Food carriers, (Temp Keepers), today, one won't get here until Monday, so, I'm pretty anxious to try it out. Trailer should make my catering life much more manageable.....

Well, sounds like they are having a suprize birthday party for my wife's twin sister tomorrow evening. Sounds like we are going to that. Hopefully will be taking the boat out for a little while on Sunday evening. Sometime over the weekend I need to work on the fence.

Showing property, hunting for some missing items that I put in a "safe place", got a hankering to shoot my rifle, but since I can't find my cleaning kit either that will more than likely be a nogo. Potential new hire meeting on Sunday. That's about it.

After a couple of days in Okie country, I'm sunburnt, tired, my feet hurt, my body aches, and I ruined pair of socks and a good shirt.

:D And I can't wait for next year.

I'll post details and a few pics when I'm a little more rested, but as a teaser they involve jalapeno peppers, psychedelic colors, fire, burnt offerings, cards, beer, and "Meat at Midnight".

Galveston! We love it there. Where did ya stay? We normally stay at Guidos. Big, clean, cheap room overlooking the beach! Can't beat it!

Chuck,
We stayed at the Comfort Inn just gown from Landry's. Galveston has crazy traffic on the weekends, we walked around on friday night, but gave it up for a taxi on sat. night.
We had never ventured off of the seawall, but sat. night we went through the historic district and partied up downtown. :fiestanana: :fiestanana: :drunk:
