If I'm Lyin I'm Dyin

Postby OldUsedParts » Mon Feb 06, 2017 6:44 pm

A couple of weeks ago, I visited a new Meat Mkt in my area and picked up some sausages. The first person that caught my eye asked if he could help and after a few minutes he told me that he was a Salesman for that market. Well we started talking about BBQn, Meats and such and I mentioned noticing sacks of BBQ Wood stacked against the wall for sale. He said that they had some choice woods for smoking and cooking and when I asked about whether it was cured/dry he said this. "You don't want dry wood if you're smoking because the greener the wood the more smoke and better taste". I told him that my Son was the only one with an offset and he would not be interested in green wood. :dont:

Green wood, huh? Good to know...I'll wait for spring, then yank some branches down.

Make sure it's been raining a lot. Wet wood is even smokier!
