I'm a sucker for CHEAP toys

Postby OldUsedParts » Thu Jun 01, 2017 8:01 am

Made the mistake of going inside the Dollar Tree with the Wiffy yesterday. I usually wait in the car after helping her get in the store. However, this time I went in a browsed the Kitchen Dept. Bought 4 items for total of $4 plus tax. Played with the timer and "even I" can hear the beep beep when it goes of   - sharpened the 7.5" stainless chef style this morning and was pretty impressed - - - - now, if it will "hold" any kind of edge then I'm a bandit. :dont:

You just gave me a bright light moment, I'm going to get me a timer, we just got a new element and wall oven to update our kitchen, the new one doesn't have timer, and it's been bugging me. Note to self, get a timer. Thanks.

I plan on using this cheapie out at the charcoal pit area, especially when direct grilling steaks and etc  I also need to learn how to use the grilling sheets that Capt'n turned me onto - - - for the life of me I cannot get purdy grill patterns on my steaks

HOT, oiled grates will get you there. Cast iron makes it easier. :)
