Re: Go FIGger this ?
Think we are headed to Co Springs this summer. Might have to do that for the kiddos.

Re: Go FIGger this ?
Great spot for large and small kiddos and lots to see around the Springs and old Manitou Springs - - - Seven Falls AT NIGHT is a must, Garden of the Gods/Ship rock/Balance rock have some great little spots to do a mid-day burger/weener grilling also the drive up to Will Rogers Shrine and Zoo always made the Family smile especially if we let them ride the Train. Driving up Pikes Peak is "exciting" but the view is much better if you take the cog-train up and the tour bus down. HOWEVER, it's been a while so do your advanced inquiring before taking my word for it.
FUNNY: when my oldes was around 6 we were going up on the Cog Train and the conductor announced "If you will look to your left ladies and gentlemen you will see the gorgeous Aspen Grove that Colorado is noted for" - - - - my oldest looked at his Mom and in a youngins Texas Drawl said: "Mom is that where that get Aspirins from?"

OK, I've switched from Tour Guide back to working on my Hero status with my oldest son and his wife's Mom. Just finished baking them a couple loaves of Pecan (pee can) Fig Quick Bread and "so far" they don't look like the San Andreas Fault system. (fingers crossed) They smell sooooo good - - - I sure wish I could learn to like Fig Stuff

Re: Go FIGger this ?
Welps, da Wiffy decided that she wanted a Pecan Fig Quick Bread so I took a Krutchez Cranberry Mix and managed to get something baked. She loved it and, believe it or not, I even had a piece and I will probably have another before bedtime. The smell coming from the oven while it was baking beat me into surrender.
