Started with a sake at dinner, had a glass of can while I de-membraned 6 racks of spares.

Fires running, so it's an ice cold Ultra. Diet beer. Yay.

Eh, it's ok. Still waiting to crack one and find myself in a crazy party with a bunch of 25 year old super models.

Ya'll are torturing me. As I sit out here offshore on this rig, unable to drink, and one week in to what will most likely be a 3 week trip. So ya'll have a couple for me. And to each of you a Happy 4th of July.

Its certainly not for everyone Parts. There are a lot of sacrifices and you miss out on a lot of things. But it has provided me with a fairly comfortable life. And I say that as I knock on wood, because things are still pretty tough in the oilfield right now. I won't post that photo of me and the dos equis girl handing out free bar at the bar a couple of weeks ago.

I thought that oil was slowly coming back? My shops sister company makes oil pump cranks and such and they are swamped with work again.

The land stuff is doing "ok". But the deepwater offshore stuff that I do usually lags 12 to 18 months behind that.

Now ya'll ice those beers down and get after it.
