So, out here in the Gulf of Mexico, a good part of the menu has not changed in all the years I have been working out here. What that means is, that Tuesday's and Saturdays has always been steak day. Fridays, has always been seafood day, and Sunday's has always been fried chicken day. And all the other days have been mixed up a little bit, maybe ham one day, or Italian or that kind of stuff. Lots of grilled salmon as well.
These days they have been changing Tuesday up and serving prime rib, and sometimes on Saturday they have been serving filets. But you can always count on one or the other on those days. And this takes place in the entire Gulf of Mexico, on every rig. Been that way for years.
I know OUP like photo's so thought I would pass these along today. Because I normally forget when I am at home cooking.
Cheers

WHO ME
Makes me consider coming out of retirement and then I remember that feeling of being surrounded by water than is not drinkable. They probably don't have a bottle washer's job available anyhow.

Re: Steak Day/History
Good grub and pics. Great backdrop too, I'm jealous.
