This smoke is getting old

Postby bondobill » Thu Aug 03, 2017 10:17 am

Last 3 days here we've been in a haze and I ain't talking fog.
Can't see our clear blue sky through the smoke cause of all the forest fires North of us in British Columbia.
Yesterday on Weather channel for our area it showed 91 degrees and instead of the sky clear it showed "smoke"
Photos don't to it justice
Last night

I guess we ain't got it so bad here just dealing with a little smoke. They've had to evacuate entire towns and small cities in British Columbia.

Sorry bout the double picture post....still struggling with the photo attachments.

OUCH, that sure doesn't help enjoying that beautiful "Color" that Y'all have around you - - - - several years back Texas went thru some real bad Forest Fires and some of us had "Fog that wasn't Fog". Good Luck with all of this and maybe they'll get everything under control soon. :salut:

Yikes. When we lived in California, we once thought we'd have to flee due to the everpresent brush fires. That 'fog' looks bad enough.

This morning seems to be the worst yet. Sun is just bright red ball. :|
Only good about it it's helped to keep down the temps this week. Forecast was for close to 100 a couple days this week. We only had 91 the last two days.

This was this morning

I wish I could blame my appetite on the smoke but nope. I'm 4 miles from the mountains and I can't see them at all...

I saw it on the news as well. Thoughts with the folks there. We had bad fires here last summer, hope your ones weren't lit on purpose like our ones were.

Yea who knows Russ....stupid is as stupid does. :dont:
I did read online that NZ and Australia are flying up a bunch or two of fire fighters to help out . :D
Today was the worst so far. Sun barely broke through the smoke all day.
We need rain big time. In the last 50 or more days I think we had one day of rain that amounted to 1/10" of a inch. This area days out in a hurry.
It's dryer then a popcorn fart right now my friend.

Lol. Like the last line. Yeah last lot of fires you guys had I think we sent about 25 firemen over there. Nz has a strong tie with the U.S. Don't know if you know of A.N.Z.U.S. Connection.
