Tomorrows Project

Postby outlaw » Fri Aug 11, 2017 6:41 am

Not really Q related, but I have mentioned my pool on other posts. I found this last week (see how you can see the liner through the wall?) so I did this little repair and waiting on the new liner to get here today to start the whole fill and stabilize all over again. Still have a couple more months to enjoy this year so all worth it. Now, since I will be out there most of the day, what should I throw on the stick burner?? I have a big ole ugly $1.69 a lb brisket I could do a little pulled beef and burnt ends out of. Never done pulled beef so I am intrigued by that. Think I'll lay it out and see what tomorrow brings.

Stick with that plan on the Stick Burner  My oldest son had some repairs to his backyard "full time maintenance pool" and finally resorted to the TV FlexTape and Spray stuff - - - so far so good.

I sent my wife to get the tape to do the very same thing, but when I went back to look at rust through again it had doubled the crack. I was afraid to risk it so did this instead. Can you imagine what 8600 gals of water breaching the wall would do to my fence 3 ft away? Couldn't chance it.

Good idea with the brisket…a butt would be another good option requiring minimal attention.

Best of luck!

I still have a few lbs of pulled pork vac packed from last ones I did or that would be my go to. I'll probably just smoke till the stall and throw in the oven for the last few hrs.

This project may be on hold till tomorrow. We need sun to put in a new liner to help with eliminating wrinkles and it rained last night and may rain more today. You know, "Best laid plans of mice and men...."
