Thinking of you NYC
Once again, I'm sickened with today's events in Manhattan..
Since this is NOT the place to truly speak my mind and my thoughts on the ( solution ) to this, I will refrain from that. If I did, two things would happen.
1--- it would disrespect the forum and Gator..
2--- some of you might question if I have a heart...
So, with that being said, with a heavy heart, ( which I do really have ) I do want to express my sincere prayers and wishful healing to those hurt and killed today :(
To Sailor and PB,
Stay strong you two !
You two can't, and WONT be broken.
Not many on this forum have ever experienced NYC, but like both of you, I myself have been there plenty of times and one thing I do know for sure is that, the home of Checker Cabs, Sabrett's, Crazy Traffic, Excellent Culinary Schools, Great Bars,Bicycle Kamikazes and 12 square foot apts is that you're Unbreakable :):)
This is just another test, and one you will pass !!

I'm sure that most of us would be right in line with you, my Friend.
I too offer my heartfelt condolences to ALL that have been effected by this horrible event.

The Department of Justice found New York City isn’t complying with federal immigration laws and ordered the Big Apple to prove it’s not a sanctuary city by Oct. 27 or risk losing millions in federal grant dollars.
I'll leave it at that.

I hate to say this, but the threat of the loss of $$$ doesn't faze the man that's at the helm of PURPOSELY breaking that law...Okie Sawbones wrote:The Department of Justice found New York City isn’t complying with federal immigration laws and ordered the Big Apple to prove it’s not a sanctuary city by Oct. 27 or risk losing millions in federal grant dollars.

If my memory serves me correctly, ( HE ) openly said they would ( find ) the $$$ elsewhere..
Remember Okie,
We, the people, and we, the non elite have a different set of rules then them..makes me sick..

Amen, WV.
We haven't been into NYC in years, because of things like this and the people who run the city.

I can certainly relate, PB, if it wasn't for our Kids, a death or doc's appt, we would never go into Houston. "Truth be known", I think we're all basically Country Folks at heart.

I absolutely agree, OUP.
Funny thing is, I grew up in Brooklyn (one of the five boroughs of NYC), but couldn't wait to get out of there.

IMHO - Being "COUNTRY" is a State of Mind and NOT A LOCATION

It's happened in Australia so it will get here. Just be cautious I guess.
