Happy Thanksgiving

Postby outlaw » Thu Nov 23, 2017 7:17 am

Good Morning Everyone,
I just wanted to take a moment and wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. I hope everyone has a great one surrounded by family and friends. That is truly what this holiday season is about. Gather as many around you as possible because you never know who won't be here the next time. This will be my first Thanksgiving without my Mother. She lived to a ripe old age of 95 and the holidays were her favorite time of the year. NOBODY cooks like Mama, but we will try to keep her recipes and traditions going forward. I know she is looking down and smiling while i "try" to duplicate her food. She instilled the love of cooking into me from a very early age and is why I love it to this day. I miss you.

Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

Happy Thanksgiving and we are thinking of you. The first one is the toughest. Tell stories share some laughs and maybe a couple of tears but most importantly keep those memories close to your heart!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone
Will be celebrating at my brothers house today.
Outlaw....my mom like yours instilled the cooking bug in me also. Pops on the other hand could BBQ burgers and make a mean breaky but that was about it for his cooking skills.
Pops past about 10 Christmas's ago. That first Christmas was tough.
Mom is still with us at the young age of 91. She lost her drivers license privileges last Summer so now she lives in a very nice. assisted living facility. She has a full kitchen in her room but she don't cook much anymore.she'll be with us today along with her killer deviled eggs. :D

Have a good day folks
