So I'm shopping in the veggie dept, in a hurry and I spy this display case full of bags of boiled Goober Peas (aka Peanuts). I try to walk on by and this faint voice with a Missisip drawl keeps saying "you know you want some - - - you know you want some" - - - so I looked closer and there it was, those two words "SALTED and JUMBO" - - - I ate a 1/3 of the bag on the way home "while driving" - - -
I guess I can multi task after all. These are really good Justin but they'll never last past bedtime.

I’ll let Justin come on here and tell you real boiled peanuts are served warm and swimming in the seasoned water :)
I can’t eat peanuts w/o beer

My squirrels love these but they ain't getting my beer......
Actually the little titmouse birds are fond of them as well....
They get the raw ones I get the kind that go better w/beer.

I find this ironic because I have a boiler full rolling away right now. I have never bought commercial boiled peanuts before. What I saw in that picture looked dry. Were they any good?

Ok, I give in. I can buy nuts in the shell here, BUT I have never bought them like that. I guess I'm lazy and just buy already cooked n salted. HOW do you do them? I will try to replicate these goobers, lol.

Well they have to still be green if you are going to boil them. And use way more salt than you think you will need. Also boil them for what feels like forever. That's how you make boiled peanuts. You can also do them in the crock pot overnight on low.
