Christmas Trains

Postby woodenvisions » Sun Jan 07, 2018 3:10 pm

So, it's been 2 Christmas's so far with the little guy. Last year he was too young to really get into the trains and all, but this year when he woke up Christmas morning and saw a Second set of tracks, he was all over it repeating choo choo choo choo and pointing at the tracks, lol.
His Gramma is in Cali for a few months and wanted to see his second train set, so I recorded this for her, but wanted to share as well will all of you on the forum.

It's nothing spectacular, but it's pretty cool to get this vid for the future.
The Black Train was his Very First, The Polar Express. The Red one is this Year's Santa's Helper O scale set.
Our plan is to get a new train set for him each year, and when he's older, he will have a great collection.

These are definitely not like the Lionel sets we had lol.
These are all wireless remote control, with Kool sounds and smoke.
Like just about everything these days, things change. However, I am very happy that the engines are Still made from heavy cast.
Next step in a month or so, is to make the Polar Express a ( wall ) train in his room. Going to have it run along the borders of the walls about 8" from the ceiling and go in and out of the closet :)

He loves these things, and tonight they get put away till next 12/24.

Just wanted to share with you all :):)

Very cool. Those things book it!
North Park mall down here in Big D does an awesome train exhibit at Christmas. Haven’t been in a few years. Might have to take the kids next year.

Sounds like that would be awesome :):).

Yeah, the Polar Express cooks pretty good, the Santa's Helper is a bit slower, but still pretty good for 5 cars.

If you wanna see something that blows ur mind, check out this place.
We took Evan last year.

I'm with, Egg, if that don't warm your heart while watching then there's something wrong. When my Granddaughter was young I had trains, ice skaters and God know what else under the tree for her every year and she would sit with her legs crossed and watch them for hours. Christmas is for Kids and the Young at Heart :santa: :laughing7: :D

We count em every day Emm. As soon as we see him in the morning.
Not sure if I ever told you, but we beat the odds big time.
Took a LONG time, but the big man above had his say when it was meant to be.
Can't imagine how we made it 25 years together without him :):)

That place looks very cool. And that sleeping in front of the tree pic is priceless!
