Was wondering what the best knife set to get for slicing meats. Something that will stay sharp and keep a good edge.

Hey Mike - not sure if it’s the best but here is what I use.
For slicing brisket I use something like this:
Dexter Russell SG140-14WGE-PCP SofGrip White 14-In Granton-Edge Slicer

Mike, I'm surprised that some of these Comp Critters haven't turned you on to their favorites but things have been kinda quiet lately so maybe there's still hope. I hate to admit it but my favorite slicing blade is one that I bought in Palestine, Texas at the Dollar Store for a "Buck"
I'm almost sure it's made from 440 stainless, it sharpens quickly, holds an edge as good as expected AND is a whopp'n 12" long including the handle.
If I ever get back up there, I'm buying every one they have in the Store.

We use Dexters here, too....when we're not buying ancient knives from yard sales for PB to practice his sharpening skills on.

I use Forschner brand Mike, qualiy stuff in my opinion.
