We are the first month of winter, still carnations flowering on the deck. Unbelievable !

So there’s three weeks into planting. Tagro soil conditioner vs no additive so to speak. It’s three spots a small cantaloupe with nothing just the outside soul. Some squash that was a scoop of it in the soil and the garden which is tagro full mixed in old tagro from two years ago.

Now if I could keep up with the weeds that love the stuff, I’d be in heaven. I’m actually pulling weeds on Friday.

About all you can do is the Old Fashioned way, pick the grass and weeds out by hand

Today is Bread & Butter day. I'm going to mix up a pot of B&B juice and do some sliced jalapeños, pickles, and squash relish.

Rambo,
What's squash relish? Also do you know what type of pickles you grew?

I'll send you the recipe for my squash relish if I can find it.

My cucumbers aren't as good this year as normal; if you'll notice in the picture, I'm not getting the dark green cukes I'm used to; I think the mild early May temps that suddenly turned into mid 90's had a affect on them and my tomatoes. I grow Burpee Burpless cukes

Rambo my wife grows cucumbers last season for the first time, she bought 2 wee greenhouses off the net. We were picking up to a month ago. Our kids and grandkids love them. Never heard of a burp less one, I'll tell the wife because I get reflux with them.

Hey Rambo - about how many plants did it take for that yield? Thinking about going from a bucket plant here and there to a little bit more of a true smallish garden next year.
