Thanks Rambo, is that an electric fence around your crops? We don't have wild critters here to invade our gardens, just insects. Christmas lunch here was new tatters, peas, corn, carrots all from our garden, baring in mind Christmas day is the middle of our summer.

Deer huh? Do you own a .308. I used to go hunting 30 years ago. Grandkids would kill me now.

Yes, plenty of wildlife here. I don't own a .308 currently however, it was once my Primary game rifle. Like you, I was quite and active Hunter when it was really hunting. Sadly, like many things in my opinion, it's more of a bait'em and shoot'em deal nowadays. The more money you have, or are willing to spend, the better property you get to hunt on. I've got plenty at the house and don't shoot'em. I used to travel 350 miles to hunt but no more.

A few things starting to come in; should have a small cooking of yellow squash by Sunday, can't wait.

FYI- For those that may think Cayenne Peppers are Red, this is the proper stage for eating fresh; when you allow them to stay on the vine an extended period of time, they will turn red but become tougher and are more suitable for drying/ grinding. Sometimes I will let them turn red and when I have the smoker fired up, I'll place them in my vertical to smoke, dry, and then I grind them in the coffee grinder for seasoning.

I just got mine in today. No time nor
Motivation to plant, till the soil, and pull weeds.

The morning after. Refreshed by bed with compost and my youngest helped arrange where things will grow this summer. I went heavy with spicy peppers and some veggies I have never grown along with cantaloupe. I started last year planting pumpkins and squash in my beds around the house to give color in the fall.
