They keep creeping towards the bed than a cold front comes through and knocks them back. Got another front coming through tomorrow. They are getting close though.
Didn’t have a scale but that fish measured 16 inches.

I hear ya parts. Since my Dad passed 13 years ago I still feel closest to him when I’m fishing. Couple of times I swear he was riding along with me.

Re: Springtime in Texas
Well, so much for Springtime in Texas, at least for today, but that didn't stop the Missus and I from doing a little Rodie up thru Walker Co. to grab some Lunch at The Farmhouse which included Fried Green Maters, Catfish Dinner and Peanut Butter Pie. Made a little spin up thru Riverside and caught some local color in spite of the drizzling rain, low 40s and blustery 10mph wind from the North.
Have no idea what these are but they made me turn around and go back for a pic.
Some more Local Color

Nice looking sausage there emm, my wife was given a big bag of beef sausages, when freezing them I counted 100 of them, lol.
We had home made burgers last night, and they were good.

Can't wait to try them, Pard - - I mainly bought them for samples for us and my Son and Fiance to try to see if ?maybe? that's the sausage I'll use as part of their upcoming Rehearsal Dinner that I've been asked to do. Nothing new except more mouths to fill.

I’m in Little Elm. That was actually the last fish I caught in the marina last Thursday. Moved the boat out and sold it Friday morning. Life changes and we just weren’t using it enough with kids activities and what not. So, I’m going to pound the banks for a while and see what I can find :) I have to be near the water on a regular basis, keeps my stress level down :)
