ONE more Brining QUESTION

Postby OldUsedParts » Thu May 17, 2018 12:48 pm

Well, today was the day to buy my thighs and breast for the Pellet Cook/Rehearsal Dinner tomorrow and Kroger had debone/skinless thigh and breast tenderloins for $1.67/lb. My plan was to brine them all for about 4 hours and then wash, dry and put into ziplocks until tomorrow. However, when I read the label on the Chicken it says: They contain up to 15% Chicken Broth, Carrageenan and Salt - - - - Sooooooo, do I still brine or just smoke/grill as is

Thanks Y'all,
Emm

Unless you're buying free range, I don't recall see any packaged chicken that has not been injected during the packaging process. I'd brine away as always.

Yes Sir, let them go swimming as scheduled. I Brine 99% of the time and haven't had a dry / bad bird since I started doing it.
