Sausage quality

Postby Copasspupil » Tue Jun 19, 2018 11:19 pm

Who makes a great sausage? I called Smitty's and do not ship. Does anybody know of another quality sausage maker that can either ship and you'd recommend or anybody will to pick up a box of Smitty's and take it to a shipper for overnight shipment for me. I'm panning a large party in the next couple of weeks to a month.

Looks like Black's ship as well if you are wanting sausage out of Lockhart.

They will both be good quality. Kruez is probably the best for shipping. As you can get it by the case. Kruez is a spin off of Smitty's anyway.

This should do it. Hot Guts from Southside is one of my "Greasy" favorites

I have a serious lack of will power when it comes to Kruez jalapeño cheese sausage.

You can’t go wrong with Kruez.

Tell me about it, when we lived out of Lampasas and I still pursued Bambi's Bunch, I used a processor in Briggs for my sausage. He made me lots of smoked links AND Jalapeno Cheese Summer Sausage     I swear I could eat it 7 days a week and did sometimes.

I've been buying from Syracuse in Ponder, TX for years. Best I've ever found. Lots of butchers can order it thru their suppliers, but you can also call and order direct. About 3.50lb give or take. Their jalep/cheddar is off the charts. They've been supplying to alot of big chains recently too, but the quality is killer.
