How would you handle it? When a seller of bbq mechandise
How does it effect you when you call a business and they state how great there stuff is while bad mouthing another way to bbq meats. I called a business about my rotisserie parts I’m thinking about doing and he starts by badmouthing my Santa Maria grill then continues on smokers. I’m thinking to myself is there someone else that sells rotisserie equipment so I don’t have to buy from this turdblossom? Anybody else have had issues like this before. I felt like I was being given to the used car salesman speech that there’s something wrong with my car and need to buy something new.

oh well...
they are a good company and have good products
but that was no excuse for running down other cookers & companies
I've bought a few things from them just by internet order
but have never talked to them on the phone

I don’t know if they check the online message system they have but the guy told me to call the number if I wanted more info. I did that spoke to the guy on the message and he just went a little sideways.

I'd say find a new retailer, regardless of the quality of their product. Shows that fella has no respect for the craft when they just bash like that. Only bashing allowed in BBQ is on boiling ribs..

I did leave one item out. He went in to say that horizontal smokers are a huge design flaw. Very inefficient and vertical is the only way to go. So I was thinking all the great smokers out there forward to reverse flow are flawed...best sell mine and do what this guys says and let everyone on this forum to swap theirs out too. Thanks Bruce! I let everyone know how you really feel.

I bet a year's salary that on paper, it could be proven that one of them, by engineering design, is in fact superior. But THAT isn't the point, is it? Again, it's in the craft.. A good pitmaster can produce quality 'que in a wide variety, if not ALL available smokers..
