Hope you get to make the most of the limited time you have. From the news it looks like this early season storm has really gut punched that area.

Not a problem - I posted it on his FB Page and even if he doesn't respond, maybe one of his Homies will "fingers crossed" :salut:

I hope you enjoy your stay in NYC. The timing of the first snow of the season was unfortunate. The rest of the weekend should be OK for you.

I'm curious if you remember the model of the Airbus jet you flew in (A340, A350, A380)? I used to work for an aerospace company & Airbus was one of our main customers.

Thank you. Weather is nice now so we enjoy.

We flew an Airbus A-330 from Scandinavian Airlines. An old plane but they have recently refurbished the cabin so it still feel up to date.

Googled a place we thought served bbq food. How wrong could we be. Ordered drinks before looking at the menu. Here are a picture of the info from Google and then what we ended up with. Mostly vegetarian dishes. ImageImage

That's the problem with a lot of restaurants in NYC: the name & description has nothing to do with what they really serve.
You might want to look up restaurants on Yelp. Many people post pix of the food along with reviews.

Regarding the plane, I didn't have anything to do with the A330. If you ever fly in a new A350, that will have some of the equipment I developed.

Never flown the A350. Flew the A380 once.

My company developed the fuel gauging system for the A380. I only worked on the optional Cabin Video Monitoring System for that plane (not too many planes used that option).

Normally it isn't so bad. Because of 6 hours time difference we leave Oslo at 11.00 am and land in NYC at 13.00 PM so still a lot of the day left.

Only an oval weekend. Returning on Monday evening. Work on Tuesday. :laughing7:

I can't do more than a 12 hr flight. I hate flying but it's a necessity at times. Enjoy your break

Thanks for all comments. Going home tonight. Sitting at the airport. Found one bbq joint but it didn't tempt my wife so we skipped it. Still had a wonderful time in NYC. Will look for more bbq restaurants next summer when we among other are visiting the Yellowstone NP and the canyonlands and Arches in Moab, Utah.

Now I am looking forward to coming home and fire up my grill again.

If you return again try Dinosaur Barbecue in West Harlem. Not bad at all. Liked their “Texas” rib.
