Have a great weekend

Postby Norway Joe » Fri Nov 23, 2018 5:31 am

Love the view from my office desk on days like this. Clear sky, white trees because of the cold weather. crisp fresh air with 15 F outside. Unfortunately no snow yet.

Very Scenic, Joe, I doubt that I would get much done with a view like that pulling on my vision attention  :salut:

I love how the seasons change the appearance of the surroundings. This is from my office today. Look how green it is now. Same spot as in the picture from November above. Image

Actually very few of the farms you see have cattles. Very strict how many cows you can have. It's regulated after how much milk is needed on the country. Every farm that wants to have cattle must get a quota from the government. To increase the allowed number of cattles you must buy a quota from another farm that has quit raising cattles. But you must also have a farm that's big enough. Almost all our farms are very small, with only 20 cattles or so. Only 30 percent have more than 30 cattles.

Oh man, that is gorgeous! There are no words to describe that view. It is something that must be felt, and the picture conveys that nicely.

Thanks. I think this time of the year is the most beautiful. Everything comes to life after the winter.

It can't be seen in the picture but at the bottom of the valley, hidden behind the fence is a small river. Great for canoeing and fishing. It is recorded 25 different species of fish in the river. The biggest fish is pike. We don't have much large freshwater fish, except salmon, trout and pike (due to the cold watering think). One of the officially largest pike in Norway is caught here and weighted 41.34 lbs. The river ends in a delta and a lake a couple of kilometers further down.
