Chili Time

Postby Rambo » Sat Dec 08, 2018 1:44 pm

Well, we survived the great Flood, LOL. It started raining Friday morning and finally quit about 11 this morning in The Pineywoods. My rain gauge holds 6" and it was running over so I'm going to guess we had 7 or 8 inches. Now it's about 40 degrees with a steady wind of 5-10 mph. Perfect weather for a nice fire and a Big'ol pot of Texas Red.

My wife makes MY favorite Chili and she was kind enough to whip up a Pot. It'll simmer until about 3 then I'll have a treat.

Nice looking pot of Texas Red Rambo. It never got above 50 here today. And I have to get out in this nasty stuff and go into town and meet some friends for Mexican food tonight. I think I would rather stay home and watch sooners qb win the heismen.

Perfect day for that. Mid 40’s here and rain all day.

That looks perfect

That pot of chili looks warming and something I would appreciate. 7--8 inches of rain over such a short time is a LOT of water and sounds a bit dangerous to me.
