Some dirtbags made off with our smoker the other day in Houston. Unlikely we'll ever see it again but thought I would post here.

Re: Stolen Smoker
Not many pics of the smoker. I only saw one in the article. Is that the one stolen on the trailer?
I’ll be on the look out brother.
They should treat pit thieves the way they use to treat horse thieves.

Well technically, it could be charged as theft of a vehicle. The trailer has a license plate and registered. A trailer is defined as a non powered vehicle towed by a powered vehicle. Soooo.. Somebody's in big trouble if it's found and you've got a smart attorney!

There are 2 thing I hate. First I hate a lair. and the second thing I hate is a Thief. And after working in a prison for 20 years I have heard and see it all.

Matt and Chris, late to the thread but posting a refresher comment to help keep the hunt alive. “Dirtbag” is certainly the right term, hope they catch ‘em. In my granddad’s day in West Texas, it woulda been a necktie party for sure. Was a really pretty vault cooker, first class all the way.
One thought, you might dial up Dave Klose the cooker builder in Houston and ask him to post the photo and spread the word. I’ve talked to him a couple of times; nice guy from my experience, and seems to know everybody. Talks a blue streak, allocate about 1/2 a day for the conversation.

BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."
