Espresso Machine!?

Postby phillipp » Wed Jan 23, 2019 3:06 pm

Hi
I love coffee especially espresso. Recently, I bought instant espresso but it can't be compared to freshly brewed ;)
Therefore I would like to buy an espresso machine. I know they are pretty expensive and I wanted to get some recommendations or experiences first.
Do you know good brands? Is there anything else to consider?

I don't know if it for home use?

Have you tried the Nespresso machine? I've heard they are just entering the market in the US, but I'm not sure. Very popular here in Europe.

They are available in many different types. Also makes cream for cappuccino's.

A lot of different coffee types and styles available. Both for espresso and and regular coffee. We had a Miele coffee machine the ground beans for every cup. Made great coffee but the drawback is that you must finish the beans in the machine before you can change to another type. A lot of cleaning too.

Very happy with the Nespresso machine. Just throw in a pod of the coffee type you like and push the button. We have an assortment of types and vary the cup I drink throughout the day.

Here an espresso from the machine. And some of the pods available.ImageImage

We ALMOST bought a Nespresso! So yes, available in the USA. Very easy to use. But we settled for a little Moka-type stovetop machine in two sizes.

I would also recommend a Nespresso.
For sure the better Espresso is the original italian one, but it depends not only on the machine.
If you have a different water and if u do not use the machine hundred times and more each day, the Espresso would never be the same taste as in Italy.

So thats why I say the one which makes most people happy, is a Nespresso.
Only in Italy I would buy a original Espresso Machine.

Just drink warm beer in the mornings, switch to cold in the afternoons.

Fortunately, coffee and scotch are not mutually exclusive, or I would be up a creek!
