I'm A sucker For Gadget's

Postby Williep » Tue Mar 12, 2019 7:35 am

So I'm minding my own business walking around the Houston Fishing Show the other day when a guy in a booth start's asking me about fillet knife's and what I use to fillet fish with, so I think to myself, this guy is putting on a sale's pitch and he's good. We talk for a while and I finally tell him, I'll take that one and that one. I'll skip alot of the detail's but what we have been talking about is called "Filletzall", https://filletzall.com/ a fillet blade for a reciprocating saw (sawzall) and I did not know they made a small sawzall, never really thought about it, I have a couple of big one's. Anyway, I bought the blades, went to Home Depot and bought the saw (#RJ03R1) but have not tried it yet, I'll use it to slice rib's and fillet fish but not sure if I'll use it to slice brisket. I think there's going to be a couple rack's of rib's going on the pit in the near future, I'll let y'all know how it work's.

 :salut:  :texas:

Is that a switch under your index finger so you can use this in the normal knife holding position? If so, then I may be checking into this gadget even for some future gifts for my youngins.

"OUP", that's a safety button that has to be pushed where the index finger is before the trigger will operate, trigger is where the 3 finger's are and there's also a trigger at the back on the handle.

OK, that's still good as long as you don't have to use the pistol grip position to slice meat :salut:

Here's a video of it being used to fillet fish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=60&v=0FabDa_3PwM

Looks pretty cool, especially if you are cutting large amounts of meat or for you guys fortunate enough to saltwater fish.

Kinda overkill for crappie so I’ll just stay with my Mr Twister.

Seems to me it would be very bulky in my hands. Especially for a filet knife. But I hope it works out for you. :P
