Them ole whites are pretty good eating. My ole buddy live on the llano river and used to slay then every year and stock up a big mess of fish in the freezer.

It was crazy; we sat in one spot and caught 60. We could have had over 100 but my FNL is 88 and he flat Petered out; we left with them biting.

I can tell they are pretty broad. Nicely done. The crappies ought to be moving towards the bank soon. We get a little front this weekend and then hopefully that’s the end of it. Spawn should be on soon.

Great catch. Haven't seen the white bass before. Black bass we have a lot of here too, but they rarely get that big.

White Perch Spawn Season used to be my Mom's favorite time.
Many times I've taken her to various Creek Banks with a bucket of minners and watched her Cane Pole them suckers out on the bank. Miss Ya Mom  :rose:

Good thing you avoided the game wardens, catch limit per day is 25 per person on those whites.
Fines are no joke if you get caught.
In fact, posting your catch on the internet is one of the ways the Texas game wardens catch people breaking the law.

Yea this was my favorite time of year to go with Dad as well. No fancy equipment needed just a minnow or a jig and catch em. Great memories

Impressive! I fished my aunt and uncle's lake when I was little, but never kept anything, threw 'em all back (maybe that's why they let me catch them...). :laughing7:

Do you smoke them? Or how do you eat 'em?

Deep fried Blackened Bass is how I LOVE them. Sprinkle some fresh grated Parm and a few drops of Fresh Lemon Juice on a good Fried Crust when its just out of the hot Peanut Oil and I'm good and happy !
