SCIENTIFIC EXPOSE: CAJUNS AT RISK OF EXTINCTION. Cajuns Most At Risk Population Due to Stress

Postby Boots » Mon Apr 01, 2019 5:08 pm

https://wallethub.com/edu/most-stressfu ... n-findings

See link above, evidently all those learned Mensa Poindexters over at WalletHub (yeah, who dat?) have identified the No. 1 Crisis in All of America. No, it's not a fat pudgy nuclear midget in North Korea; No, it's not whether Joe Biden is squeezing the Charmaine once again; No, it's not even the heartbreak of Psoriasis. ITS WORSE THAN ALL OF THAT.

Brace yerself everybody: Cajuns are evidently the most at risk population in these United States, all due to (gasp): STRESS!!

Yes, little did we know that yer average Cajun is already pounding at Death's Door not due to high cholesterol brought about by mass consumption of mudbugs and Jax beer, NO!! They are in imminent threat of a Dinosaur-like extinction due to Work, Money, Family, and Health Stress. WHO KNEW?!??? Oh, the humanity.

Evidently, they are stressed because Boudreaux's weekly paycheck was so low it wasn't enough to cover the casino marker in Bossier City, and as a result, the mother-in-law is going to beat all responsible to death with a gumbo ladle (the Work-Money-Family-Health Stress Perfect Storm of the Apocalypse). I too was shocked, SHOCKED, to discover gambling was going on in Louisiana ("Boots, here's year winnings"..."er, thanks").

But there is still hope... MINNESOTA TO THE RESCUE!!!

YES!!! Upon further mathematical calculation, one can determine from the ground-breaking WalletHub/Poindexter Study data that the lowest stress states tend to be in frozen places where they work the fewest hours, sleep the most, and have the highest number of psychologists per capita!!! Eureka! And if you're New Hampshire, it helps that people are either too lazy or too sleepy or too cold to steal.

Yes, the secret to Nirvana is to be a lazy bum who stays in the warm house asleep all the time, except for trips to the shrink to blame their problems on everybody else or is too lazy to steal!!! It’s an almost perfect correlation that sponging off of others while sacking it in the bag results in a 1:1 probability correlation of blissful stupid happiness!!!

And you thought this was gonna be a tough week.... Just snooze yerself to happy healthfulness while you get lullabyed by the hold music for the Suicide Hotine, and presto! All the world's yer Oyster...

I am waiting for the phone call from the learned beardstrokers in Oslo informing me I have received the Nobel Prize for scientific research.

I'll check with Nobel committee if I can find the stamina to go outside in the near future.
Their track record is not all impressive. They even managed to give the prize to a man for his achievements before he even started in his job. Here we believe it was only for getting him to visit Norway.

A lot of people with Norwegian heritage in Minnesota. Maybe they brought some tricks with them from Norway.

So, my working outside most of the winter actually is good for my mental health. Go figure.
I have not met any Cajuns in the flesh but I know quite a few of their relatives because, after all, I live in "Acadia" and I must say that the French people around here are pretty much a happy, hard working, fun loving bunch.

Glad folks had some fun following along w my sarcastic sense of humor. I just find these so-called scientific studies and polls in the media so laughable and phony. The idea that anybody from Louisiana is more stressed out than say somebody in New York or New Jersey is so ridiculous on its face as to render such a “study” suspect. Cajuns are some of the most laid back happy people I ever met. And people in Minnesota have also been nice, they’re probably low stress from all the cardio workouts from shoveling that snow.

Joe, when you talk to the Nobel committee, tell ‘em thanks a lot but I’m too busy going fishing to pick up the award.

Now I understand why I’ve heard

It’s a Cajun celebrating coming out of his stressed state. :D
