Pecan Wood
Looking for some good pecan wood up around the Wylie area (but willing to travel). I need about a half cord of pecan and a half of oak but the pecan is most important right now. Any info appreciated.

Found a few sellers although I have no experience dealing with them. The last one is going to be the closest to your location.

Re: Pecan Wood
Texas Wood man is in McKinney. I haven't stopped by in a couple of years because I personally thought the prices were really expensive. Probably as expensive in many ways, but I get reliably good clear grain pecan in the bag from Academy Sports. Very consistent.

Agree with Boots on the logs from Academy.
Also might want to look up Arnold Bros in Irving.

Re: Pecan Wood
I'm a customer and fan of Academy BUT kiln dried wood is a weak cousin to air dried/aged pecan, or any smoking wood IMHO.

You have the good stuff Rambo. And I have some as well, it comes off a ranch on the Guadalupe over just east of Seguin.
