The Metamorphosis Begins...
My favorite part of the year up here, I figured I'd share some colors with y'all that dont get to see much of this part of the country.
I think peak will be in about 10 - 14 days, I'll make sure to add new pics accordingly.

Re: The Metamorphosis Begins...
Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the updates. Our Fall Show isn't very dramatic with the type of dominate trees we have.

I've got a few on my phone, I'll post some when it's done charging. Very close to peak color in this area right now.

The next two are in our front yard-
The last was taken on my morning walk with the dog-

Great pics Cliff
We were just up there not far from you last week for 3 days and a week a month before that.
When we left last week we could see them starting.
Were about a week behind you I think.

Very beautiful. Fall is great with all the colors, before it turns white for a while.
Worst time is from now until the snow stays. Very short days, wet and dark. Less than 6 hours of daylight in December.

Re: The Metamorphosis Begins...
Way back in the "daze" I had a friend in Houston whose Wife had relatives in Pennsylvania that were of the Quaker type (no offense meant). Anyhow, one Fall they went to visit them and they took them on a Horse and Buggy trip during the Fall Show. Can't remember the exact area but the Pictures that he brought back were like nothing I had ever seen before or since. Some shots had every color of the Rainbow and then some.

Prettyyyy!
There's very little showing here yet. Maybe a red or orange leaf or two, but mostly still green.

Lancaster sure sounds right. He was also a gun collector and muzzle loading guru and he used to score a lot of old black powder guns where his Wife's relatives lived. Sure wish I knew what ever happened to that Sharps Carbine after he passed away.

Re: The Metamorphosis Begins...
That whole area is blanketed with Quakers and Amish, we often just go for a drive during Spring and Fall, it's Beautiful Country in that area. 3 years ago we took a self driving Covered Bridges Tour thru that area, it was pretty kool.OldUsedParts wrote:woodenvisions wrote:My $ is on the Surroundings of Philly.

Also, it's not far from Gettysburg so ur sure to run up on lots of old school firearms
Next weekend we are taking Mom and my Sis from Cali out on a Covered Bridge tour up this way about an hour west of us. It covers about 22 Bridges and should take an entire day. It will be nice because the foliage forecast shows Peak next weekend.
