Happy Birthday TEXAS
On this day in 1836 at Washington on the Brazos, Texas declared Independence.
Later the Texas Flag was designed and made here in Montgomery, Texas and Y'all should have seen the Lone Stars waving proudly Here today.

The history of this great state is absolutely fascinating. I was not aware of the flag being made in Montgomery. Thanks for posting Parts and nice photos.

Bobby: "No."

I gotta give the credit of remembering it to, Texas-Tobe, when I saw his Post on FB. I bleed Lone Star Red White and Blue but I had forgotten it until I saw his Post. Thanks T-Tobe

Re: Happy Birthday TEXAS
Obscure question, how many are aware there have actually been 9 flags that have flown over our Great State? I’m sure our East Texas members grew up knowing this, I was just real late to the party.

I have heard 3 numbers, 6, 7 & 9, debated (argued) with valid points but I choose to relate to 6
