Send Off US Army

Postby Garykb » Sun Mar 28, 2021 8:30 am

Grandson been living with us for the last 6 weeks. Kept him really busy with lots of tractor work, building a chicken palace (coop and run), and everything else. So this morning got him up zero dark 30. And teaching him the finer points of smoking. So loaded up the Johnson Smoker Brisket, two butts, in a few hours 3 slabs of ribs, and some bacon wrapped poppers. He is leaving on the 4th to Ft Lenard Wood for Basic, and AIT. MOS 74 D CBRN. Great DAY...

P.S. I notice that you are from Burnet and it reminds me of when we lived in Lampasas and our Classic Car Club was out of Burnet. Many times I've been corrected by a Local telling me that it was not pronounce 'burr net' - - - - IT'S BURN IT - Durn'it :laughing7: :D

Thanks, I was raised just down the road from Dayton, Texas, in Cleveland and I sure miss the Hill Country and that Deer Proof fence brings back some great memories from our years in Nix, west of Lampasas.

Do you by chance know Billy Hudson :?:

Quality time with the grandson. Can’t be beat. Nice smoker too!

Thank him for serving and we will pray that the Good Lord looks over him.
