just got back from the daughters in Alabama,
taught her to use chicken fertilizer on her garden,
her yard and garden are pretty and green, it rained Friday when we left.
Everything is pretty and green there not like ole Frying Pan Texas....
the temperature did get to 102 one day, mostly in the upper 80's and 90's there

Re: 2023 Garden Thread
Sorry no pix you'll have to imagine.
Like usual my deck is covered with potted plants of many colors I have posted pix before.
Now have a new attraction a young squirrel has taken up one of the hanging planters as his domain.
he gets in it and swings, lays on his back and chills curls up and naps may spend 4-5 hours enjoying the ride.
I had a transcendia (wondering Jew) plant in there but it is toast now. The growing media is coco coir so it stays damp and cool and soft and never muddy or dirty.
He is too timid to get a picture but is fun to watch.

Re: 2023 Garden Thread
It's gardening season once again! Scaling back this year with 8 rows and 2 boxes. New Potatoes are thriving after a careful start. Learning from past frost, I'll hold off on above-ground plants till April 1-15. Exciting to share ideas and experiences. Best of luck to all fellow gardeners! Feel free to ask questions or exchange tips. Happy gardening!
