N Texas storms

Postby Papa Tom » Thu Apr 17, 2008 9:20 pm

Wondering how everybody In the DFW area is weathering these storms. Looks like Fort Worth and west got the worst of it. Here we only experienced heavy rain no hail.

Heavy rain for about 20 mins and some pea to marble sized hail for about 5 mins... winds only got up to ~35mph or so... nothing serious this time.

A-OK here...

Very little hail but lots of rain and wind. Although we had a quick glitch, the electricity stayed on. That's a first! But I did hear two close by transformers blow! Ka-BOOOOOOOM!!!

About 12:45 am and the worst seems to have gone through. Heavy rain, lots of lightening. Plenty of wind, but didn't hear any hail. New storms forecast for Monday next week.

We had rain, lightning, and a little pea-sized hail for about 30-45 minutes. The outlaws were worried because they'd heard these storms could have baseball-sized hail, but luckily that wasn't the case.

My wife was going nuts because of the potentially large hail on her new car. The thing that kind of worried me is the car has a moon roof and I wondered how that would hold up with large hail. Luckily the big hail missed us!
