Vacation Time

Postby GRailsback » Thu Sep 07, 2023 7:38 am

It’s time for the warden and I to take our annual fall trip. First stop this year is Ponca City Ok. Some things in the area I have been wanting to see. They also just filmed a movie just east of here in Osage County called, “Killers of the Flower Moon” I read the book, I am not a movie person but I will be going to see this one when it comes out.

And of course a beer joint I stopped at in the shadows of the refinery to Quebec my thirst.

Today we are going to swing by the Phillips66 oilfield museum, then we are off to Kansas City Kansas for the NASCAR races there this weekend.

Will do, woke up to a cool 62 degrees here at 6 this morning. Kind of a pleasant break. Just looked up the museum and it is only open by appointment these days so guess we will get out of town sooner than we thought.

Good afternoon folks, greetings from Kansas Speedway. Fine weather they are having here. The warden wanted to go to the Ladybird Diner in Lawrence Kansas. Kind of a popular place close to the UK campus. Had a nice breakfast and brought some pie back to the track with us.

Parts the warden only got a couple of pieces of pie to bring back. I bought a whole chocolate pie for bargaining chips with the pretty girls walking around!

Ya think, you should have seen it hooked up. There is a motorcycle behind the bunk and a spare fresh water tank.

Nice, I would like to do that sometime. I had pit passes at TMS about 10 yrs ago or so, before our camping days.
Yours is a class A, but I can’t make it out.
That Pete and riverstone is a nice setup.
