Strangers No Longer!

Postby Boots » Thu Nov 02, 2023 5:23 pm

After 63 years, the Rangers FINALLY drove into Titletown in a big way. Hats off to Bochy and the Boys, it was fantastic to watch.

The terms “Strangers” and “Lastros” are now officially RETIRED.

Jerry Jones, on the other hand, remains the Goat Curse Of Dallas, having taken over for the Cubs. But for his ego, they Cowboys would’ve been the only team in NFL history to do the 4Peat, and don’t look up to it this year either. All the teams they beat have a combined record of 14-24, and they’ve beaten only one team of a winning record, the Jets of all people, while losing to 1-7 Arizona. And even at that they might still get to the Super Bowl as only five out of 16 teams in the NFC even have a winning record. Geez, somebody get out the air freshener…

Oh well, there’s always college ball anyway…
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

As a lifelong Cub fan, and a Texan since 1998, I was so disappointed when the Rangers lost to the Cardinals in 2011 the way they did.
Congrats to the Rangers.
I have now sat in this very same spot in my living room to watch the Cubs (2016) and Rangers (2023) clinch the WS.
