I chose salt, as it is a tenderizer and a good all around flavor for strange eats!

I'm not a saltaholic like my wife and all of her family is. I like pepper and chilepowder, but can live without it. Garlic seems to add the most flavor if I don't have anything else...

If I only get 1, salt. Used properly, salt will make almost anything better.

Salt--not just for seasoning--can be used as a preservative and the body needs sodium to function properly.

Garlic, not ONLY does it provide great flavor BUT it's has antibacterial and antiviral properties. Keeps your blood pressure low and cholesterol low as well. So if I get sick, well I gots the garlic to get me well! :P
