What's your best BBQ'n time of year?

Postby OSD » Fri Mar 30, 2007 6:00 am

Down here in Fl. our peak time for BBQ'n is from Oct. to May. It gets too hot to be comfortable in the middle of summer. We still Q in the summer, just not as much. I guess most folks Q more in summer than winter. How does the weather affect your Q'n season?

Tell us when you Q the most and why?

I just started with the smoker a year ago, but it has been year around for me here in TX.
And since we just got our pool installed, I imagine the frequency will even increase. :D

Most of it is done in the Spring, Summer, Fall time frame. But, I do Q all year long. That is one of the reasons I bought a Stumps Smoker. Since it is insulated, it holds its temps during the winter with no problem.

I generally go year-round. DFW gets cold during winter, but not too bad. Summers are a bear, but that makes cooking outside even more attractive, since I don't heat up the kitchen.
