I heard someone mentioning $85 for theirs. They raved about it, though.

Personally, I'd rave about it, too, if I paid that cash. I'd love to get one, but the budget won't allow it. :(

They are around $85. They have a deal, if you buy 5, they will give you the 6th one free. I think that deal is still going :dont: Brings the cost down to about $71.
They are great :D

I got a 5 buck instant read. Need my reading glasses to tell the temp. The thermal pen looks like I could read it without my glasses. That is appealing to me. :D

I 2nd that, you get a reading within seconds! Less time the pit door/lid is open. My wife was nice enough to get me one last year for my b-day. I keep it in a special drawer so it doesn't get lost/broken!!

Well I got the extra large blind folks dial on my instant read. It dont take it long to snag the temps.

Is an analog thermometer a gadget? Not like it has wires and is hooked up to the main power grid and plugs into a computer. :dont:

Well I use a few gadgets I just dont trust em much. I been using the Instant read gauge for steaks by just holding the steak with tongs and poking it in there sideways i.e. lengthwise etc. Last ones turned out real good. When it show 150 I pull it. Just done a new batch guess we see how they turn out.
