Close... airplane crash. Davey Allison died while flying his helicopter into the infield at Talladega.

"Tragically, Kulwicki was killed at age 38 in a plane crash on April 1, 1993, near Blountville, Tennessee, while returning in a Hooters corporate jet from an appearance prior to spring race at Bristol Motor Speedway."

Funny (?) thing is, He died in a Hooters aircraft and now Hooters is an airline.

Dumb pit crew....Newman exits pit same time Gordon does, what happens? freakin wheel comes off! (Newman was singing 'you picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel') :cry: :roll: unbelieveable. Oh well, get em next year :roll:
