Lol. You should try our gas prices, was up to $2.45 litre now $2.15. My hilux in 1993 used to cost $18 to fill with diesel now it is $100
I guess it's relative.

Diesel is 4.29 here. :banghead: I think it is the highest in the lower 48.

Is it that expensive in New Zealand too? We pay about 2 usd per liter for 95 unleaded. Even if we are producing a lot of oil in the North sea. I have shifted to electric cars. Have an Opel Ampera E (Chevrolet Bolt) and a MB 350 glc hybrid. Use the Opel for day to day driving. It goes around 400 km on full charge. Because of very high taxes on cars people are changing to electric cars because they're exempted from taxes. Last year more than 50% of new cars sold are fully electric or hybrid. It's pure economic for my part. Nothing beats the sound of a big V8 or a high quality straight six. It's music.

An electric car wouldn"t work for me . I am always towing my boat trailer or a horse trailer. Electric just doesn't have the power I need.

The hybrid tow my boat. But it depends on the size of course.

Doesn't matter what prices are, we just pay, recently sold my 66 notchback Stang V8, currently driving another V8 falcon and a V6 commodore. Havnt considered electric.......it's just not right IMHO. I'm a petrol head. Looking for another car ATM.

Us oilfield hands from Texas would like to thank you Russ. Maybe you could go out and just start your car and let it run in the driveway for 30 minutes or so as well.

I wish I could have a mustang too. The new 5.0 GT is 150.000 USD here now so way too expensive.

Lol, I have a very frugal friend who drives a nana car. He always says to me I need a cheaper smaller vehicle, I just say they're still pumping gas, I'm still buying, lol.
