Hello all...I go by Dusty_den, and have learned grilling and BBQ over the last 15 or so years by trial and error and reading books by a few of the experts. I'm far from "expert", but I am pretty much where I want to be in both arts. I tend to modify nearly every recipe I try, usually for reduced salt and fat. My results have rarely suffered for flavor, juiciness or tenderness. I look forward to sharing and gaining knowledge with my new club members.

Welcome aboard! You've got a great take on things; reducing sodium and fat. Who would think flavor is lost? I can put together at least 3 rubs right now with VERY little or no salt at all that would make that 'que just sing! Good on ya buddy! Looking forward to seeing your work!

Typed it in "Request a Recipe". Think it said it would be held in suspension till I'm an approved member.
