Hello all!
My buddy and I just bought a smoker and it's going to be some work. We are wanting to add some counter weights first and then get all of the rust off and paint it. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. This is my first smoker of it's kind as I have 2 Big Green Eggs. I look forward to learning lots in this group.

You should be ready in time for the big annual cook up at Eldorado Chevrolet around December...
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE

Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

Call of the sales department at El Dorado Chevy, they should be able to tell you when it's coming back or just Google barbecue cook off Eldorado Chevy 2016. Big Ed cooked in this thing and whooped butt, you can PM him and he may be able to give you some details as well.
Also look for the Big D Barbecue Battle on the second Friday and Saturday in June this year in Addison, I am on the steering committee and will be competing in this thing. It will benefit Guns and Hoses as well as Cafe Excel. We logged in 4000 spectators for the Saturday event last year, and are looking to go bigger this year.
Be well, and maybe I will run into you hanging around Matt Hamilton's place (Local Yocal) sometime.
