Howdy from East Texas!
Hello fellow enthusiasts!
After several worn out MAsterbuilts, I decided to go with a pellet smoker.
I found a...get this...Kenmore pellet smoker at Sears. It has 20 X 27 cooking surface (plus an upper/rear rack), and the exact same new generation controller as the Traeger for $449. It seems to be like the Pro 22, but more cooking area.
Only time will tell the durability, but after three smokes on it, I am pleasantly surprised. It holds temps very well as evidenced by an independent wireless unit, as well as the analog gauge I installed on the lid.
Anyway, this forum was very helpful prior to my first run, and I thank you for that.

Re: Howdy from East Texas!
I’m thinking a couple of pork tenderloins may be on the menu tomorrow. My wife says they sell larger tenderloins than H.E.B. does. Can anyone comment on this?

She may be talking about a pork loin. That is a bigger cut than the tenderloin.
