New guy here

Postby Mainelytxs » Sat Oct 20, 2018 12:12 pm

Glad I found TBBQF! I'm a Texas boy who lives in Maine now. Right now I am cooking on my Oklahoma Joe but venturing into my first build project. Can't wait to see what I learn here!

Heat is something I will never get tired of! Use to farm back home around the Frisco Prosper area but that landscape doesnt even look similar to what it was 25 years ago, Cowboys practice facilities and minor league ball parks.

Welcome - we are in Little Elm. You are right about this area. It just keeps growing. On top of the Cowboys you got Toyota and all kinds of other companies growing this way.

Thanks for the welcome bsooner75! Little Elm is old stomping grounds. Do you know where Navo is(used to be)? I remember when The Prairie House was a restaurant in an old Methodist church they moved off land we farmed just North of 380.

Not sure on Navo. Prairie House is still up off 380. We actually lived in Carrollton when they first got started in the old Downtown there years ago. We’ve lived in LE a couple years.

Well heck I just googled Navo. Looks like it’s now Paloma Creek. That’s not far at all from us

Thanks spacetrucker and TX1911! Just getting started on my build but as soon as I get some worthy pics I'll be sure to include them. Got a thread going in the build section lookin for a little help hoping some of the resident experts will stop by and chip in.
