Salt Lick, Austin TX - Airport Location

Postby brentski » Fri Mar 23, 2012 1:26 pm

I should have know better than to eat at a BBQ joint in the airport, but this was awful. Two small slices of overcooked brisket that been in the warmer long enough to dry out the skin. Sausage was fair but cool to the touch. At least the bread was tasty and the beer was cold.

I've done the same there. Mediocre. Hey, but at least it beats the chow in the Boston or Chicago airports. I swear the last burger I had in Boston had some calico fur still on it when I flipped open the bun.

Airport? I don't even like their restaraunt que. Although I've only been to the round rock location. I hear the driftwood location is better.

I did receive a great response from the mgmt over the Salt Lick and they seemed to take my concerns seriously. So it does looks like this was not supposed to be how this store is to be run. Good Luck to them for trying to improve.
