Ok, another recommendation was Hard 8 in Coppell and also Cousins. I'm likely to get over by Love Field to check out Willoughby & McCabe's and Jackson Armory. BBQ around there would be convenient too. Any recs?

Not saying that Cousins is the best Q, but it is very good and they are consistent. The only thing that I've tried there that I didnt like was the ribs.

Got to Dallas around 1:00 today. I hit Bartley's just because it was convenient. Meh. Kinda blah, no flavor to their brisket.

I hit a couple nice gunstores over by the Methodist U. Then looked over Peggy Sue's around the corner from the gunstores. I just couldn't eat more right then. Drove over to Dealy Plaza for a look see. Wandered around there an hour or so.

Co-worker arrived later at the American Airlines Training Center that we're staying at. We went up to Hard 8 in Coppell. Good brisket, ok ribs. I'd eat there again.

You right on about the two purveyors of firearms there in Snyder Plaza off Hillcrest. First class wares, and knowledgeable management w/o the Soldier of Fortune attitude.

Been going to Peggy Sues for years. Good food, not what you write home about, but good for lunch and always consistent. Not sure if this is right but I had thought it was owned by the same guy as Bubbas's and the Babes chicken houses.

Speaking of Babes, I would sell the mother in law off to eat there. Great chicken and biscuits.

I love Babe's! But my wife hates it. I need to find a Babe's partner.

Lol if you just had to eat BBQ in Grapevine you should have gone to Bone Daddy's....it's better than Bartley's and much better scenery.

On a different note, we did get some decent Italian down at Piccolo Mondo in Arlington.
