Springfield, MO named #6 in “Top Ten Best BBQ Cities,”????? :dont:

I just saw this in our local paper. I have no idea how they can make that claim. Most of the BBQ restaurants around here are average at best. My favorite place R&K Smokehouse (A Texas boy) closed, Dickey’s came to town and it is horrible, a guy in Sparta does a good job catering BBQ, but I have not been impressed anywhere around here.
(Except my back yard :D ).

Trotters was pretty good, but been a long time since they were there. Maybe 20 years.

They must be counting Jarhead's and Tom's houses in that count
BE WELL, BUT NOT DONE
Hank: "Do you know how to jumpstart a man's heart with a downed power line?"
Bobby: "No."
Hank: "Well, there's really no wrong way to do it."

Thanks Boots, I have noticed that BBQ joints are not as good as they used to be since I started smokin my own.

2manybikes , I had forgotten about Trotters! Fletcher’s and Stoney’s were also good. But all long gone now.
